This year InSA is yet again organizing an exciting four day trip to the beautiful city of Stavanger in Western Norway ONLY FOR EXCHANGE AND DOUBLE-DEGREE STUDENTS, in an area that is known as Fjord Norway. Breathtaking views, quaint side streets, a magnificent cathedral, and a lively nightlife awaits those who join us on what promises to be a fantastic weekend in a city that offers one of Norway’s most exhilarating experiences. Click Here for the FULL SCHEDULE

The Stavanger region is blessed with immense cultural, financial and natural wealth. Home to the secret of Norway’s financial success, it’s   Oil Industry, the city has become the base for a number of multinational corporations yet at the same time has kept many of those things that make this place decidedly Norwegian.

A true gem in Norway’s vast repository of natural treasures, the Lysefjord stretches some 43 km inland from its starting point near Stavanger and with rock walls that dive a kilometer into the fjord this is an experience not to be missed.  We will hike to two locations with a truly amazing view of this area of outstanding natural beauty, Pulpit rock and Kjeragbolten, the famous boulder suspended between two rocks.

Natural beauty is not all that Stavanger has to offer. The city is also home to the place where Harald Fairhair first united Norway into one   Kingdom and became the country’s first monarch with the Sverd I Fjell memorial commemorating his victory at the Battle of Hafrsfjord. The tiny cobbled streets of Old Stavanger add another charming dimension to this ancient and fascinating place.

We hope that many of you will be as excited as we are about the prospect of looking down from Pulpit rock some 600 meters above the fjord and beholding the Lysefjord in all its majesty, so send us an email with your name to:

BBA and InSA wishes all new Exchange and BBA students a warm welcome to a yet another term at BI Norwegian School of Management.

Each year hundreds of students walk through the revolving glass doors of BI’s state-of-the-art facilities in Nydalen and each year new stories are written and new friends are made. We at BBA and InSA welcome you to BI and we will do our utmost to make your time here as exciting, enjoyable and of course educational as possible.

So get ready to throw yourself into the mad melee that are the Intro weeks and in no time at all you’ll find yourself lounging on the BSN rooftop terrace in the late summer’s sun and enjoying a drink with your new French friends, or having a game of football with some Spanish blokes you met on that trip to the park. Oslo is full of surprises and you are sure to find something to suit your taste.

Hiking in the Norwegian wilderness is usually no more than 20 minutes from wherever you happen to be at the time, and both Grunerløkka and Central Oslo will be sure to satisfy any interpretation of the phrase “a fun night out” you can come up with.  We for our part will facilitate, in every way we can, the intercultural interaction that people generally want to experience in an international degree.

Learn a new language with our InSA Talkpartner programme and keep yourself updated on all the events and activities by checking our Facebook pages and our Twitter tweets. Finally of course get down to business and make the most of the unique experience of an English language Business course in a country with a unique economic and social climate. Welcome to Norway everyone!
